Perhaps This Is Why Fraser Loved Seattle

Sunset in Seattle

Seattle has a unique atmosphere that you rarely see other cities hold onto. It’s a large city with a population of 715,000 or so, but it doesn’t feel like big. It’s got the stereotypical charm of a metropolitan area, but it’s not consumed with the need to compete with any other city.

Perhaps this is why Fraser the character from the TV show with the same name, loved Seattle so much. It’s got a skyline that truly takes your breath away and the lights of the office buildings at night flicker across Lake Union.

There are various buzzing youth subcultures most notably the music scene. Seattle is the birthplace of Alternative Rock legends such bands as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, and Soundgarden.

It’s also sprung Rock N’ Roll legends like Alice In Chains and the late great Jimi Hendrix. There’s a reason for that epic skyline as the economy of the city is amazing.

It focuses it emerging e-commerce, Fortune 500 companies as well as tech giants like T-Mobile. Here are some of the things you do for your short stay.

Pike Place Market

Opening as way back as 1907 the Pike Place Market is one of the oldest publicly run markets in America. It’s a farmer’s market with specific produce you wouldn’t find anywhere else.

Many interesting and daring crafts products are sold in the market. It’s one of the best places in all of Northwest American to find fresh and juicy vegetables and fruit. As you would expect for a city that lives and breathes by the waterfront, the selection of seafood is amazing.

Look closer, and you’ll find Asian stores selling spices and herbs and Chinese artwork stalls. As you would expect there are also many different food stalls to accompany any cravings you have while you walk on through.

The Pink Door is a great place for those who like Italian food, but there are also street food stalls that sell all kinds of foods.

The University District

The University District is as the name suggests, a place of youthfulness and pretty much the heart of the metropolitan areas. It also harbors the Husky Stadium where the football team trains and plays. The University of Washington is present in the district and close by is the Union Bay.

For those looking for a great place to stay look up Residence Inn Seattle University District. It offers high-speed WiFi free of charge. The single rooms and studio have kitchens will full-sized appliances.

There’s an indoor pool to cool off in at the end of the day, and for those who want to keep in shape, you can access the fitness center at any time. Eat to your heart’s content with a free breakfast buffet laid out in the mornings.

Situated northeast of 45th street and 12th Avenue, it’s perfectly located in the middle of all the cafes, restaurants, theaters, and shopping stores.

Seattle is a city that’s full of life but humble. The fact that it doesn’t boast about its culture and the amazing real estate is quiet confidence, not many other cities can admit they have.
