The Chesapeake Bay sits on an estuary that holds about 18 million gallons of water. It is not very deep though and a person who is six foot tall could walk over much of it without being fully submerged.

The Flying Dog Brewery is situated in Frederick. It is a craft beer brewery that was established in 2006 as part of a beer company that originated in Aspen Colorado. 

It makes more than 100,000 barrels of beer a year and hosts concerts in the summer months. You can enjoy a full tour or go straight to the tasting room for a few samples.

This amazing American farm was founded as a non-profit shelter for horses and has become a well-respected national recuse center. It cares for about 150 horses each year and until it finds them homes where they will be loved and looked after properly.

This center gives a great opportunity for some hands-on experience with horses to care for these abused and neglected creatures. It is a beautiful place to connect with nature and contribute in some way to making the horses’ lives better.
