Las Vegas is located in the Mojave Desert in Nevada, United States. It is renowned for its vibrant nightlife, world-class entertainment, and iconic casinos along the famous Las Vegas Strip.
Visitors can indulge in a variety of activities, including gambling, attending live shows, dining at upscale restaurants, exploring themed resorts, and experiencing thrilling attractions like roller coasters and immersive experiences.
Whether this is your first time in Sin City, or you are a seasoned visitor, these insider tips that only the locals know will help you have a fantastic time.
Book Show Tickets Online
Pretty much everyone who visits Las Vegas will spend at least one evening at a show. There are so many to choose from, I’m sure you will be able to find one that will entertain you. One thing that the locals know is exactly where to buy Las Vegas show tickets.
Sure, you can buy them from the venue’s box office on the day, but that could prove to be very expensive. Instead, it’s best to book online as far in advance as you possibly can. It might be cheaper to book your tickets before you have even arrived in Vegas.
Get Off The Strip off Las Vegas
One of the most popular places has to be The Strip. This is one long stretch of road that is lined with hotels, restaurants, bars, and casinos. It’s certainly where most of the life is, and that means that it is usually very busy with visitors as well.
However, that’s not all there is to Vegas. It’s worth getting off the strip from time to time and exploring what else there is. Rent a fun car and head 20 minutes northwest of the strip to Red Rock Canyon. You can take some amazing photos without much hiking effort.
Or head 15 minutes north to Fremont Street, otherwise known as Downtown Las Vegas. You can get a shuttle bus here from The Strip. It’s the original center of Vegas and has a more old-school vibe to it. It can also be a lot less crowded than the main Strip as well.
Join The Casino Members Club in Las Vegas
If you want to spend some of your time in the Vegas casinos, it’s worth seeing about joining their member’s club. Most casinos have these clubs and anyone can join, even if you are just in town for a few days.
Most of these clubs will allow you to gamble for free on the day you join. That’s not the only advantage, though; some also offer special food and drink discounts in casino bars and restaurants.
Indulge in Food and Drink
Eating out in Vegas will be pricey. It is not like it used to be in the old days where you could get a prime rib buffet for $9.99. Gone are the days of cheap eats. Just be prepared to spend way more on food and drinks than you expect. Book a hotel with a kitchen to save some money while you are in Sin City.

I’m thankful that you brought up how it is important to opt for deals when it comes to traveling to Las Vegas, such as eating at buffets instead of pricier restaurants. My boyfriend and I are considering going to Las Vegas, as we want to live like we are in our 20s again, even going as far as clubbing.
